Gary A. Noskin, M.D., serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and is a professor of medicine at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine.
For Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Dr. Noskin is Chairman of the Clinical Care Evaluation Committee, Executive Quality Committee and Quality Management Committee. In addition, he is Chairman of the Northwestern Memorial Insurance Company Board. Dr. Noskin is on the Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital and the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases. He completed an internship, residency and fellowship in infectious diseases at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases.
Dr. Noskin has published over 140 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on the subject of infectious diseases and patient safety and participates in editorial and review activities for many publications. He has received research funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). In addition, he is also the editor of two recently published books entitled, Management of Infectious Complications in Cancer Patients and Contemporary Diagnosis and Management of Antimicrobial Resistant Bacteria.
Dr. Noskin was selected by his peers to be included in the current editions of “The Best Doctors in America” and "The Best Doctors in Chicago". He is a member of numerous national professional organizations and committees and is a Fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America.
