Dr. Dumanian combines excellent training with a caring and attentive bedside manner. He performs a variety of aesthetic and reconstructive surgeries including cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery. In terms of aesthetics, Dr. Dumanian is also an expert in abdominoplasty, full body contouring after weight loss, liposuction, breast surgery, facial rejuvenation, and surgery of the upper and lower eyelids.
Dr. Dumanian is Board Certified in plastic surgery, general surgery and hand surgery. He currently holds the position of Professor of Surgery and Chief of Plastic Surgery. He lectures nationally on repair of the abdominal wall. His ground-breaking work on the bionic arm procedure was featured on the cover of the prestigious journal Lancet, the New Yorker Magazine, and recently National Geographic.
Dr. Gregory Dumanian, a native Chicagoan, graduated summa cum laude from Harvard College, and trained at the finest medical programs in the country. After graduating with honors from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, he completed a five-year residency in general surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He followed this with three years of plastic surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh, one of the premier plastic surgery programs in the country. He then completed a fellowship in hand surgery at the Curtis Hand Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
