Dr. Robert Cohen is a Pulmonologist and Occupational Lung disease specialist. He’s a Professor in the department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Cohen received his MD at Northwestern University Medical School in 1981 and trained in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Cook County Health & Hospital System where he practiced for 32 years.
Dr. Cohen is an internationally recognized expert in Occupational Lung diseases with a particular focus on pneumoconioses.
He’s an active member of the American Thoracic Society and is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians.
His bibliography includes more than 50 peer reviewed articles, book chapters, and expert reports in the field of occupational lung diseases.
He was the 2007 recipient of the Chicago Thoracic Society’s Outstanding Clinician of the Year award as well as Doctor of the Year award in 2013 by the Cook County Health & Hospital System.
