Dr. Brook is an assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and a neuropsychologist on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Northwestern Medical Group. He is also a neuropsychology consultant for the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, the Brain Tumor Institute, and the Division of Psychiatry and Law.
His practice focuses on neuropsychological assessment of adult patients with neurologic and psychiatric conditions, brain tumors, traumatic brain injuries, cerebrovascular disorders, and autoimmune disorders. He is specifically interested in the intersection of complicated medical illness, brain functioning, and mental health.
Dr. Brook regards state-of-the-art neuropsychological assessment techniques and the simple act of listening as equally powerful diagnostic tools, and encourages his patients to move beyond disease by capitalizing on their inherent healing potential.
