Dr. Smith is an otolaryngologist on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and a clinical instructor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She is also a fellow in Health Services and Outcomes Research at Northwestern University's Institute for Healthcare Studies.
Dr. Smith was born and raised in Arlington Heights, IL. She received an academic merit scholarship to attend Washington University in St. Louis, and she graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering Sciences. She went on to receive a full scholarship to attend Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. She completed residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Northwestern University. During residency, she received the Northwestern University Resident Research Award, and a Resident Leadership Travel Award and Resident CORE Research Grant from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Her clinical interests include general disorders of the ear, nose and throat, with an emphasis on medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses. She is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.
