BIOGRAPHY


Dr. Hefferon's practice is focused on the treatment of sports and active lifestyle related injuries and conditions. His expertise includes total joint replacement of the knee and orthopedic sports medicine.

Currently, Dr. Hefferon serves as the league physician for the NBA . Additionally, he had served as the Chicago Bulls' team physician and the team physician for the 1996 United States Olympics Team. It brings him great pleasure to apply state-of-the-art, proven procedures to restore mobility and help patients return to an active lifestyle.

Dr. Hefferon joined the practice now known as Northwestern Center for Orthopedics in 1979, and since then it has been his mission to provide his patients the same excellent service and care that he would offer to a member of his family.

A former minor leaguer baseball player with the Oakland A's, Dr. Hefferon is an avid runner and has completed nine marathons.
