Dr. De Wolf is an anesthesiologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital specializing in vascular and thoracic anesthesiology.
A member of the Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, Dr. De Wolf also has a special interest in transplant anesthesiology, especially liver transplants and transesophageal echocardiography.
A professor at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, Dr. De Wolf conducts clinical research in anesthesia for liver transplantation. He is an accounts editor for Liver Transplantation and a journal editor for Journals, in addition to authoring more than one hundred publications, chapters and abstracts. He is also a member of the Association of University Anesthesiologists and the presenter of the first John Farmer Memorial Lecture of the Liver Intensive Care Group of Europe. Dr. De Wolf was also selected for the "Best Doctors in America" list.
Dr. De Wolf attended medical school at Belgium's University of Ghent and completed his internship, residency and fellowship at the University Health Center of Pittsburgh. He is board certified in anesthesiology and speaks both Flemish and French.
